Just how good is Good Friday?

I started my day not feeling so well and I was so wrapped up in my own discomfort that I forgot it was Good Friday. I used to celebrate this day because my dad got a day off work, just another paid holiday. But now here I am some 18 years later and finally I "get it". So when I recalled the goodness of the Crucifixion for a moment my discomforts and pains passed away. I simply paused and praised God for the beauty of the cross. I thanked Jesus that he died and in doing so brought me life, that he was pierced for my transgression and his punishment brought me peace! I think I will download that song today...Oh How Great is our God and Oh How good is Good Friday!!!!
